I received it today and installed it. It didn't seem like the oil had "settled to one side", as the seller put it. But rather it seemed like the whole thing was lightly oiled. There was one corner with the slightest amount of settled oil - but all i did was give the whole thing a squeeze and rubbed the whole filter down with the small amounts of oil on my gloves. I think it was enough - but as I said I will check it over the next handful of rides to ensure particles are not making it through.
