I recently had to use Skull Candy earbuds.... I know your feelings on the wire issue.
I previously had a Sena on old helmet, but couldn't afford another when I got a new bike (Plus I wanted more bass) Sena SMH-10 was not good for bass.

Anyway for earbuds and bluetooth you really only have 1 option. (something like this LG - Tone Ultra Wireless Headphones - Black)
One of those that hang around neck and the earbuds come from that device.
Wire would be inside helmet only.

You still will have 2 issues
A) the buds will come out of ear putting on helmet and from head movement.
B) MUCH LESS range of outside sounds

B) is the one you should worry about -- too much isolation w/ earbuds in and makes you less aware of surroundings.
E.G Sirens, Horns, Engine/Braking sounds, ppl talking to you just to name a few.

It is B alone why I stopped using the earbuds!!!

There are cheaper options other than Sena for bluetooth, but you do get what you pay for.

You should have helmet mounted speakers, so you can hear your music and environment.
