One of them arrived with only have the LEDs lighting but I contacted the seller and they've sent a replacement already! At just over $10 I would say they're definitely worth it.

haha after all this talk, I'm psyched to do it now! But one more thing, where did you get your diode, or did you make one yourself?
Because I actually found another method, that seems to work just as well, but you only have to take off the side farings...
