Thanks for the links and info, Sparkcycle. That forum post was extremely detailed.

I have found plenty of lowering links. But the problem is I'm trying to raise the bike up. I found 1" links from a company in GB but they are $50-75. I'd like 1.25" minimum as I'm very tall. I wouldn't mind paying for some if they were $20-25. From what I've found, the DIY dogbones look pretty easy and, for the money, I'll probably end up doing that.
