^ I have seen that CRF with the Marchesini wheels - nice! I saw that he, and his buddy with a similar bike, both sold them (for a very reasonable price, considering the upgrades).

Ordered a factory Honda Service Manual last week, so I'm getting ready to see what other surprises are in store!

Really, I'm not that surprised or upset. I've been really lucky buying non-running bikes in the past, but my luck was going to run out sooner or later. I've had good luck selling used dirt bikes in good condition, and actually made money on our last XR I sold after owning it for about 8 years.

We could have easily got this one running and blown it up ourselves - so it's not out of the ordinary. I'll go through it completely, and fix anything that is needed.

I'll have to get to RA for some SuMo races next season. It's a bit closer for me than Shawano.
