It's also good midwinter therapy. Makes you feel like you're doing something useful with the bike. I've been known to wire stuff I don't need to, just for the hell of it.

Just make sure you account for every last little bit of wire when you clean up. That stuff can be vicious.

PS: If I knew then what I know now, I would have opted for the finer-gauge wire. Naturally I bought the full 1 lb can, so I've got enough to last until long after I'm dead.

Wonder if I can convince my wife to safety-wire the lid on my urn after I'm cremated? #onlyatrackriderwouldunderstand
