Thank God Michigan doesn't have inspections. In New York State it was just a pain in the ass. It would be wise to tip the local garage for inspecting your vehicle, that way they would be glad to do it next year. Freakin' New Jersey is a nightmare (but then the whole state is). You have to go to state inspection stations and can wait in line for up to 75 minutes to get through inspection - and God forbid you fail the emissions part. I love Michigan - one license plate - no vehicle inspections - no helmet law (although I wear a helmet 99% of the time). Michigan is America 1960s style.
