I don't like humiliating myself, but this was funny... When I had my NT-650 and I was really a new rider I was riding around town in upstate NY looking for a pizza place that I knew about but wasn't exactly sure where it was. I found it but rode by it twice because I was going too fast. Third time was a charm and I zipped into the parking lot. Unfortunately I was still going too fast and the pavement was damp. I skid to the end of the lot, hit a railroad tie and both me and the bike flew over it. Luckily (I guess) there was a muddy field on the other side. I was fine, the bike was fine, nobody seemed to notice. I brushed myself off the best I could, got my bike back up and parked and went in to get that precious pizza. I sat down, the waitress came up to me (snapping her gum) and said "So, you had a little trouble with your bike out there, huh?" It turned out that she was a Harley girl and rode some big heavy cruiser.
