500K would pay my mortgage, let my wife finish her masters' degree studies with no stress and boost my retirement savings considerably. It would, in effect, let me turn the corner and be reasonably secure for the rest of my life.

I'd be an idiot not to do it. I'd take it in a heartbeat, and move on to another sport. Probably go back to cars.

In my life I've been a pilot, a skydiver, a whitewater kayaker, a racecar driver, an avid cyclist, a working musician.... there are so many amazing things that you can do with your time, money, energy and passion. Motorcycling is just one.
