I'm not sure if it was the BRC or the BRC2 course that taught how to slam on the brakes while mid turn. Basically, we had to abruptly stand the back back up and do a "quick stop" while mid corner.
Unless the OP was going extremely fast for that corner, that skill would've came in handy.
For the ZX-10 incident, it's sad....but most jurisdiction will place fault for the person who couldn't stop in time. They don't care what happened in front of you that forced everyone to slam on their brakes. They'll put you at fault for not having adequate following distance.
