The question is typically overthought before people do their first track day.
Its not ego based or to prove a point,
its not racing and nothing remotely close,
Its to learn by being coached and enjoying a sports bike for what its made for.
My mind boggles when track riders waste money on every performance part in the catalogue when its just not required and wont make any difference.
