Headlights

I just took my bike to the dealer for any electrical problem, and I got it back with the headlight not working. Didn't notice till I tried to leave for work at night. So I don't want to take it back and have them charge me for it if it just needs a new headlight. The headlight looks ok to me, none of the burn marks you usually get when a filament burns out, and the filament looks ok to me. Do I really need to pull every single one of the fairings off the stupid bike to change the headlight? I'm trying to figure it out, but I can't figure out how to get it out with just the side fairings off.
