I would avoid the center, as well as the left area, where spills of diesel and oil and debris tend to collect, due to centrifugal effect.
The problem with that approach is that following traffic should be monitored just in case some driver decides passing you in a dangerous manner.
If 20 mph is recommended, it should be a safe curve at 30 mph.
It is not a race, but traffic dictates how slow is safe enough.
