Um, it's been going down just "a splash" in between oil changes every 5k. barely pour any in and the level goes back up to the top mark on the window.

Personally I wouldn't worry about it, valve adjustment makes all the difference.
I did mine and all the exhaust values were tight, but intake was fine except for one.
Bike runs like new again for sure.
