I use Harley mufflers on several rebuilds, but not my 250 ninja. One the weight and second the Harley mufflers take a much larger header. Plus on a little ninja they look fugugly

If you look inside a Dyna or a sporty muffler you will see a plug. Get yourself a 1/2” drill bit and drill a hole. You need a 12” bit. Try to find an earlier muffler with no cat inside.

YouTube has lots of videos of guys cutting into Harley pipes. For the little ninja you need back pressure. The Harley’s need back-pressure too, but most of the rednecks don’t understand tuning. I get the impression that they confuse more power with a loud exhaust. My Fatboy is really loud, but has an aftermarket tuner, slip-ons and cams.
