I crashed in a textile jacket but my mesh one has been practically worn out with specifically the broken zipper making me decide to get a new one. Looking at my mesh I actually think its a Moment of Truth by S&S and that's why when I saw it here I was so turned on to it.
My textile protected me but I can't really say to what extent. I believe that my helmet took the extent of the damage. The only place where the jacket seemed to make contact during my crash was the elbow where I got a heat rash (whatever they're called, like rug burn), and the rest was fine. My helmet though took the brunt of the damage having sliding on practically only it and my backpack/laptop until I came to a stop.
