Hi from Mexico

I work in San Diego and live in Tijuana. I've had my Ducati Monster 1100 for 2 years now, and picked up a 2004 Ninja 250 this summer. I got it from my boyfriend's aunt for $500 and with only 275 miles.

I've been coming to the forum for tech help for some weeks, figured I should make an account. The bike was given a complete tune up before it was delivered to me, so all I had to do was get new tires, still had the originals on there, lol. Got a pair of budget Kenda tires on there, the set was less than the rear for my Ducati, so that was nice.

I've already swapped out the rear shock for one from a 300. Looking to upgrade the front suspension as well. I'm hoping to take the little bike out to a track day before the years end. Not sure if it's still worth tracking such a little bike, but no way am I taking my Ducati.

I haven't really been able to see what the ninja is capable of, since everywhere I read tells me I need to brake in the engine before I can redline, so I've been put putting around town, keeping rpm's below 6,000. Almost at 400 miles now. I learned to ride on a gixxer 600, then a gixxer 1000, before I bought the Ducati, so this has all been interesting. I feel like I am riding a toy, but it's been fun, can't wait til I can hit 12-14,000 rpms.
