When you try to install, the lever ends up underneath tank and won't let petcock sit flush with bottom of tank. No way to install and seal.
If yours is leaking, best to get K&L rebuilt kit # 18-2702 and repair it. |
I know that many of aftermarket ones are too short unless you buy $65 which are right one that are the extended body as I all ready talk to many of ebay seller.
Personally I would prefer the one with the built in fuel screen trap
Yup just got the K&L rebuilt kit # 18-2702 to rebuild one of better petcock for 05 as originally 07 tank two bikes I purchased reallty cheap was too far gone badly pitted so I had used the parts from 05 tank for now and petcock for now at least the originally 07 gas tank is still salvageable so with some Evapo-Rust and tank sealer it be good go to again with new or replacement petcock if and when I get to it next year.
