I think part of the appeal is having something that you know will fit since off the rack stuff can be an issue for people who don't have a standard body shape.

I'm pretty sure none of those models are wearing the lined kevlar lined pants. Maybe they're wearing them without armor. Can't avoid the slight bulk of hip armor when it's there
