Kevin has a big day today. He is scheduled to go in to surgery for a few things...
He's going to have a permanent plate put in to his jaw to help heal the break as well as have his jaw wired shut so that he can't open his mouth to expedite the healing process.
He's also having a tracheotomy done. An incision is going to be made in his throat to insert a breathing tube. This is more comfortable than having it going down through your mouth and causes less damage to the throat.
Finally a feeding tube is going to be inserted directly in to his stomach through his side.
Seeing him last night his body is ready to wake up, now we just have to get his mind on board! Still having high hopes for my buddy to recover
