Let this blow your mind a bit. You paid $5500+ for your 250 through financing. I plan on using $5750 to get the bike, leather jacket, leather pants, leather boots, leather gauntlets, and a Bell Star Helmet. Keep in mind that the gear purchases will be for items on sale through one of the online retailers like revzilla. It can be done, you just have to save and shop smart. The other thing is you dont start saving when you want something, you start saving before you want something so the money is there when you need it. Just something to think about.
