I really don't understand the "buy new or bust" thing. I purchased my ninja new; my first brand new vehicle. After that experience I figure it may be my last. I sold it for just over half of what paid for it after a mere two years in near perfect condition. Maybe that new bike smell is worth taking a huge hit on resell to some people, but to me I'd rather get a well maintained used machine for much less money.
