I ride all winter if it's not too cold and the roads are clear. (central Iowa) I stick to in-town, not-very-fast riding. It was 25ºF when I left on a couple of errands and almost took the car, then decided to try the balaclava. I took the balaclava off when I when into a store so they wouldn't think it was a stickup. Then I decided to ride without it to see the difference. It is definitely helpful in mid-20's temps!
