^ I don't think there's much room for debate that any sort of integrated turn signal (sequential or not) is less safe than a signal that's spaced away from the center of the bike per DOT requirements.
if you are willing to take the risk of making your bike illegally modified and your turn intentions less visible just to make it look "cooler", that's your own decision. I don't recommend it,and neither does DOT or law enforcement.
