Here's the reply I got. "The default is set for 3 strobes which is DOT." I talked to them and I can also sell the switches, but only for 4.80. The tail light does have a modulator but the control wire looks like it needs to be grounded while in programming mode a certain number of times to set the desired mode. The switch makes it easier to ground since you need to make sure the mode is set within ten seconds. It's all in the control switch manual on their website.
