When Cagiva owned Derbi they also owned Ducati, so they "borrowed" some styling cues from the 916 for the GPR tail. Some versions of the Cagiva Mito (125cc 2-stroke) borrowed even more. Some of them also had 7-speed transmissions.
I have to say, I do like the look.
