Lots of good info here. I guess I'll toss in my 2 cents.
1. ATGATT. If it's too hot for gear, it's too hot to ride. One of my friends almost died, learned it the hard way. Physically may never be able to ride again.
2. Don't push your limits. Ride how you feel comfortable. Better to go into a turn slow and be able to add throttle then go in too hot and something bad happen.
3. LOOK where you want to go. Like they taught you in MSF, always look through the turn.
4. Crack the throttle open before a turn and maintain or roll on the whole way through.
5. Watch Twist of the Wrist II. When you're done, watch it again. After that, read the book.
Welcome to the world of two wheels. Be safe and have fun! Lemme know if you're ever down DC way!
