I don't have any experience with swapping out the springs from one year to the next, but would guess that they will interchange. On the chart it shows different lengths but only 3-4 mm, I'd think you could make up that little bit with the preload adjustment. I have the stiffest GSXR-600 spring (2008 & 2009) on all of mine (1999-2000-2002 250's) two of them are stock weight (or very close) , the one I track the most weights in at 300 lbs. and I'm at 185 geared up. Even on the light one I would not say that the spring is "stiff", have you checked the sag? I wonder if maybe the compression damping is set to stiff, that will make it seem over sprung, like you'd feel every little bump and crack in the road because the suspension can't react quickly enough.
