Ok, trying to come up with that cake to DIE for.

you know, you get that cup cake at the bakery and can't figure out why is SOOOO DAMN good. you make them at home and it's meh..

I think I cracked the code.

1 box of yellow cake mix
1 package vanilla pudding mix
3 eggs
3 egg yokes
1 stick of butter melted
1-1/2 cups heavy cream
1/4 cup whole milk
1 T vanilla extract
1 t salt

Mix for a 5 minutes or until the batter starts to stand up, this is not "pouring" batter, it's pretty firm.

350'F for 15-20 minutes depending on the size of the pan or cup cakes.

when you jiggle the pan, the cake should not move, or you can use the tooth pick method. stick a tooth pick into the middle of the cake, if it comes back with out cake/batter on it, it's cooked.

OMG figured I was going to just try one and take the rest to work for "disposal"... 1 of 6 cup cakes made it to work... and I ate that one for lunch.
