ODO Reset (not malicious I swear)

So my 34k bike got a new 218 mile engine. I have NO intention of selling this bike, and even if I did, I'd fully disclose everything yadda yadda. But seriously this thing is like intrinsically linked to me. I'll probably be buried with it.

Anyway to cut to the chase: I wanna try to roll back the odometer to 218 miles. I've tried the drill method but considering it takes 30 seconds to roll back a single mile, by my math it will take 281 hours to roll it back that far.

I've cracked open the gauges and got the odometer bare but there seems to be no easy way to move the wheels.

Does anyone have another idea? I don't want to ruin the mechanisms.

I thought of trying to just roll it back to 33,218 and mentally minus the 33k (or up to 34,218) but it would be neat to drop it ya know?
