So latest portion of this project is I have the 08 GSXR 600 shock installed. I made some bushing like washers to center them in the stock mounting wholes so the bolt would be centered and secure. I had already cut out most of the air box other than battery box portion so wasn't a big deal to cut out a portion of the fender that went up to the old shock mount. That allowed the reservoir room under the battery. It just does touch the plastic but not in a restrictive way to be concerned. I also now have the YZF front end installed with timken bearings. Got some measurements figured out once in place with the fairing and determined a 3" riser set of clip ons is required. Hurt my feelings and pocketbook since I don't have to machine it myself but ordered some Driven brand ones for delivery Thursday. Once those arrive I can put the switch controls and throttle on the clip ons appropriately. Now it's time to start working on the rear wheel install to match the front. Get all the spacers, brakes and replace the shift shaft seal so I can get some test riding in. Also looking at rearset options again but don't have a lot of time. Goal is to have hear ironed out enough for a trackday on March 4th.
