Newspapers; yes.
But get a garbage bag, poke a hole for your head and two for your arms. Put iron over everything including the newspapers but under your jacket. Trust me; it works
Edit: Iron? Where the heck did that come from  Lol! "it on". As in "Put it on over..." Should make a lot more sense!
