New from Okc

Hi, I bought a 2006 Ninja 250r with 2973 miles. Still looks new, never down,
owned by a chic. I bought this to do a few Iron Butt Association rides. http://www.ironbutt.com/
Mainly a Bun Burner Gold (BBG). 1500 miles in less than 24 hours. I will add a 5 gallon auxiliary fuel cell on the back some how. Even if I have to strap it down. I need a 350 miles range between fill ups.
The bike is in great shape but does not run. Gas still smells good but I'll dump
the tank and clean the carbs first. It's been sitting for a little more than 2 years inside. If you do a BBG you can get in the "Not right riders club".
I'm into off-road riding and long distance endurance street riding. My go to dirt bike is an '04 KX500 two stroke.
My street bikes are 1995 Kawasaki Voyager XII and a 2011 BMW R1200 GSA. Both of those bikes get the job done but won't put you in the "Not right riders club".
I'll throw a washer under the needles but if you guys can think of anything else I should do to enhance my 250r for the long distance, please let me know.
Thanks, Danger4u2.
P.S. Danger4u2 is what I tell people before I let them ride one of my KX500's.
I'll start surfing the site for more info.
