wind noise

Over the years wind noise can add up and very quietly without you realizing it you begin to have partial hearing loss. I have an Arai custom fitted helmet that reduces the wind noise dramatically because of the fit. I also have the foamie ear plugs and custom fit ones. I seldom go anywhere without ear plugs especially if I'm doing distance.

The foamies can be washed often and should be. When I get into the shower I bring the foamies and wash them with shampoo squeeze and dry thoroughly. Good to go next day. They last a long time.

If you go to any of the larger rallys you can be fitted for custom ear plugs. Note because they are molded they take longer getting used to and if your style of helmet compresses certain parts of your ears then they will be uncomfortable. Because they are $50-75 if you are prone to losing things foamies might be a better purchase.
