Test rides are welcomed with serious intent to purchase. Must have a few years of riding experience with a motorcycle endorsement before test riding. No joyrides please. If you drop the bike, you bought it. No exceptions. At the buyer's expense, I will also cooperate with shipping arrangements if necessary for new riders.

Prepare for a descriptive listing. I hope this detailed listing alleviates most questions. Ultimately, I believe this will save us both time. I won't be getting redundant questions from different people and you will be well informed to make a buying decision with no concerns of the history of the bike.

This was my very first bike I have purchased back in the summer of 2010 with only 185 miles on the odometer. The previous owner was around a 30 year-old woman who lost interest in motorcycle riding after a very short period of owning the bike. With only 185 miles on the odometer, it was practically a new bike. I wanted a specifically blue colored, lightweight, good-looking, affordable, and easy bike to learn on. I believed that the Kawasaki Ninja 250R hit the nail on the spot with exactly what I wanted! The Candy Thunder Blue is a rare color as it was only available for 2009. 2008 and 2010 also offered shades of blue, but the blue for 2008 was too dark and the 2010 was too light for me. The Candy Thunder Blue was the perfect balance between the two and the best looking blue the Ninja 250R had to offer in my opinion. This bike was also a blast to ride, easy to control, and very forgiving. The acceleration on this bike is quicker than most average cars on the road today. The bike's seating position is more upright as well unlike the super sport bikes where you practically have to hunch over to reach the handlebars.

I am pretty particular and take great pride when it comes to maintaining and keeping all of my bikes and vehicles in the best, running condition as possible. Most of the work done to the bike has been done by me and recorded with as much detail as possible. Just about all of my work and maintenance done is to maximize the longevity and reliability in mind. I firmly believe in if you are going to do something; do it right, especially the first time! You will begin to notice my level of OCD as you read on further . I would not consider myself a master mechanic however, I do know a decent amount in terms of mechanics and how/why things work the way they work. I ride fairly conservatively and never beat my bike to death in favor of longevity, reliability and gas mileage. Speaking of gas mileage, I average about 58 mpg. My best was 64 mpg.

Unfortunately I had the misfortune of experiencing a static drop in the parking lot in the early portion of me owning the bike. I was not paying attention and forgot that I did not kick out the kickstand. As I got off of the bike, it dropped on it's left side. At least the bike wasn't moving and I wasn't on it, but I always beat myself for doing this. As a result the left fairing has some scratches and a small crack. The front left signal has some scuff marks on it but it still works. It is not very noticeable from afar but it is there. I have clean it up as much as possible and it never bothered me as it is only a cosmetic damage. The bike is very clean and nicely waxed religiously. The paint shines and retains its luster when it is cleaned. Even the engine and interior components are clean as I have previously took apart the whole bike (exterior trim pieces) to clean it from the inside out. There is no rust on the bike. I do not believe the bike has any stone chips recalling from my memory. If there is, it is at a minimal. I am always cognizant of stone throw from drivers ahead of me so I tend to keep a longer distance away from the driver ahead. On top of that I tend to ride in the middle of the lane since the tires of the car ahead would be planted towards the edges of the lane. Stone throw from the tires ahead would miss the bike and I altogether and keep stone chips at a minimum. There are no scratches around the keyhole area as I am aware of potential scratches if you have sets of keys/rings attached to your motorcycle key. Most of the electrical connections, bolts, screws that I could reach and taken off have been lubricated/greased to mitigate corrosion. There are no leaks on this bike and maintenance has been done on the bike religiously. As you can see in the oil change records, oil changes were done more frequently in the break-in and early stages of the bike's life to drain out most of the metal shavings. A bit of Seafoam was added as oil stabilizer to counteract sludge and acidic buildup. This ultimately prolongs the life of the oil since I do not ride all that much per year. The transmission shifts nicely with no slipping and no signs of wear. The clutch and brakes feel nice when applied and brake pads still have plenty of wear left. The engine starts and runs smoothly with no issues.

Some tasteful mods were done to the bike to give it a more pleasant experience with added safety, looks and protection without sacrificing ride-ability and reliability. A tank pad was added to protect the tank from unnecessary wear/scratches. Blue, reflective rim tape was applied on both wheels for better visibility for other drivers. In my opinion the bike looks better with the rim tape. The needles in the carburetor were shimmed with 1 washer per needle. This small mod makes the bike run and respond better especially from a cold start and at lower revs. Don't take my word for it; there are multiple articles on this mod (https://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=9465). I have also swapped the front and rear sprockets to a 15/42 teeth setup for a slightly taller gearing ratio. I wanted to lower the revs on the highway since this little 250cc engine revs pretty high in nature. I managed to lower the revs by 1000 on the highway. The lower revs will result in less vibration, less noise, and less fatigue which translates to a better riding experience in my opinion. The windscreen was replaced with a raised tinted windscreen. In my opinion the black makes the bike look more stealthy. The raised windscreen also provides a bit less air hitting your head which translates to lower wind noise. The battery terminals are coated with grease to prevent corrosion and exposure to the elements. I have never had an issue with my battery forming that notorious battery acid powder around the terminals since applying the grease. Nothing is neglected. This is a very clean bike with most, if not all of the maintenance up to date.

I of course still welcome and encourage anyone that wants to hire a mechanic to take a look at the bike at the buyer's expense. At the buyer's expense, I will also cooperate with shipping arrangements if necessary.

Payment:

I will accept cash or am willing to meet the buyer at their bank to have the teller draft a certified check if it is a local sale. Thanks for understanding!

Will include:

Two original keys with key number
Original owner's manual

Option to purchase separately if desired at a discount OBO. Buy everything at $665 - $115 = $550:

- Two Brothers Racing V.A.L.E. M-2 carbon fiber slip-on exhaust canister (Part #: 005-2080407V). Bought it used but didn't like the way it sounded. The sound is deep and loud. A lot of people actually like the sound but it is not my cup of tea. I did like the way it looks though plus the added benefit of it being lighter than stock. I only rode with it on for about 30 miles until switching it back to stock. It is in good condition with hardware. You reuse most of the hardware from the bike however ($400)
- Sportisi color matched/painted (Candy Thunder Blue) rear wheel hugger with Sportisi swingarm cover V2. The swingarm cover was used a for a few thousand miles, but the painted hugger was never used. There is a few cracks on the swingarm cover however. ($100)
- Volar Motorsport clear, smoked, LED integrated signal tail light. Used but in good condition ($60)
- OEM 2010 black exhaust muffler. the 2010+ Ninja 250Rs had black mufflers rather than the all chrome mufflers for the 2008-2009 models. Does not include the chrome shield. Just reuse it from the stock bike. Used but in good condition. Has a scuff mark on the side. Could possibly buff off but never tried to. ($70)
- Ride It blue, shorty, adjustable levers - anodized aluminum - Used but in mint condition. ($25)
- Ride It blue, handle grips - New ($10)

Pictures are available on the accessories if desired/requested.

Let me know if you want to purchase any of these parts even if you do not intend to purchase the motorcycle. I am willing to ship all/most parts at the buyer's expense. Please add 3% on to the total for PayPal fees if you choose to pay through PayPal.

As much detail as this listing may contain, there may be a few, minor things I may forget to mention. With that being said, please contact me initially through e-mail/PM if there are any questions and/or concerns. I do not like to leave my contact information on public sites due to potential SPAM. More information can and will be given upon initial contact if an interest is expressed. Best times to look at the vehicle are weekdays in the evening. Weekends are possible too depending on my schedule. First come first serve basis. I will not hold the bike for anyone as I did not have good experiences in the past with doing so.
