So I had to post because I'm both relieved and feel like an idiot.

I just did my first valve adjustment on my 250, having never done an adjustment before and after it was all said and done I start her up, and I hear rattling noises. Crap. Did I do it wrong?

It gets worse as a rev it higher, I'm thinking either I jacked up the adjustment or somehow messed up the cam chain tensioner, I hear the noises on the right side.

I go to disassemble her, and low and behold-- there a 14 size wrench hanging onto a bolt on the triangle mounting bracket. I take it off and go for a spin. Problem solved.
