Here's a before-and-after comparison with the "After Blast" and steelwool, plus some polishing -

The pitting is still there, but the rust is neutralized and rust staining removed.

That's about the best you can hope for with damaged or pitted chrome.

I'll spray it with the corrosion inhibitor and let it sit for a while before wiping it off and installing it.
