.... and obviously you were riding conservatively ! as the few other bikes that passed you were hauling ass ! lane splitting I do NOT do ... if traffic is stopped for road construction I may scooch up to the front but that would be the only time. if there is traffic I wait like a car for it to clear. the danger is too great that some one will change lanes without checking for a motorcycle !
