I just replaced my engine over the holidays. (Threw rod at 65mph total bottom end loss on original engine)
Gave old engine to my scrap metal buddy.
Got used engine (also from 2006) on EBay for $350
Replacement was fun and easy for 35+ years’ experience motorcycle mechanic.
(Don't recommend you do yourself without proper tools and experience and patience)
New engine runs Boss!!!
Only issue with bike is the kick stand cut off circuit.
Here is why I'm posting:
When kick stand is up circuit is closed
When kick stand is down circuit is open.
This is proper operation for ground interrupt to ignition circuit.
Basically the kickstand circuit has been taken out of the path and does nothing to interrupt the ignition circuit.
Anyone come across this?
