Well I picked up the Versys-X 300 yesterday & did 50 miles down country lanes & discovered a couple things. 1. The seat is rock hard, so will need sorted. 2. The screen being straight as in nearly vertical causes a lot of turbulence around my head, I'm 6'1". 3. There is a lot of resonance from the intake under the seat.
So the seat will take a while to sort out, a gel pad will be used in the mean time.
The screen issue was confirmed today by taking it off & having a short ride, no turbulence ! It's now been modified to a more rakish angle, so will test ride again & see if it helped.
The resonance will have to wait & see.
Jet washed the dirt from the lanes off today too.
