Can't speak to the 400, but on my 300 I barely notice the slipper - other than that I don't grease the rear on downshifts unless it's rainy. Personally, I like that I can pay a little less attention to the clutch on corner entry and just have the power pick back up when the revs are matching again. If you feel like it's too light, I'd definitely try stiffer springs before you go nuts on an aftermarket unit. Springs are cheap, and it might even help a bit with preventing false neutrals.
