A similar thing (burning car) happened not far from my house a few years back, she didn't make it despite 2 broken hands trying to bust the window.  Car tech is both good and bad sometimes. Of course when you start rolling, the car/truck auto locks the doors. Now... someone please send auto manufacturers an email to put in a smoke or temp sensor, so if the car is on fire, the doors unlock.

Its NOTHING like you see in the movies. That one shot quick break stuff is complete and utter **** compared to the real world.
Windows are tough! I've seen police officers smack it a half dozen times with an ASP baton and nothing happens. Need a sharp pointed tool and PRESSURE.
