As we know, the Ninja 300's engine is based on the Ninja 250. I don't think there's much of a room to stroke/bore up to 400cc.
Agreed. To turn a 250 into a 400 is a big ask. It's not just about the practicalities of whether you have enough meat to increase the bore size but also whether the bottom end of the engine and the transmission can withstand the extra HP's being thrown at it.
I'm erring towards it being either a completely new engine or a sleeved down 650, which sounds like the cheaper option of the two.
