Unfortunately, the PC performance and internet connection affects the gameplay ability more than WarGaming like to admit. For computers with less processing speed and/or lower download speed internet connections; playing SPGs can provide better gameplay action for the client performance.
There was a time when SPGs reigned the battle and dealt massive damage, even in lower tier. My fav. was the USSR tier 3, SU-26.. small but deadly with a 360 turret, 76mm mortar, minimal vehicle profile, but short range.
Used to hide in a bush closer in a tactical location undetected and just take out enemy vehicles one-by-one.
