I think you may be over obsessing the oil level. As long as it's in between the marks on the sight glass and does not contain coolant or gas you're good.

The way I get my bike perfectly level is, I use a small level on the tank, and a small block of wood under the sidestand (that makes it level) and then I can brace the bike from the right side while checking the oil.

The balancing act method can make the oil level move a little bit if you're a little off in your position of trying to brace the bike and take a picture.
