haha, you got me beat.
I took apart the tail of my bike today just for the hell of it; then decided to relocate the switch for my headlight LED's to the side of my bike so I don't have to take the seat off every time I turn them off/on. I unupholstered about 3/4 of my seat to try and add some more height in the front with some old wash cloth's....yea, dumb idea, I know. I ended up stapling it back and just left it alone when I realized how stupid I was

But I knew I wanted to raise the front of the seat just a little for a more comfortable ride so I ended up attaching 2-3 layers of 3m tape where the seat rests on the metal piece that attaches the gas tank. I went out and rode it for a few minutes (first ride in the rain) and it seemed more comfortable but I'll see if it makes a difference on longer rides; and by comfortable I mean it doesn't pinch / crush the family jewels. I'm starting to get tired of that...especially when riding with a
trunk monkey.
