Be careful of "Jet Kits". The jets can be way out of spec, and way overboard.

It doesn't take much tuning to get it to run with pods, but it's not usually a great choice for the Ninja. Pods may make more power at WOT, but elsewhere they don't. They typically soften the low and mid-range power - which isn't a great trade-off for the little Ninja.

If you have an airbox, I'd keep it.

One of our Ninjas came with pods, and it ran OK when tuned, but still kinda flat down low.

For jetting with pods and a leaky stock exhaust, we ran factory 108 Main Jets, 1 shim on the needles, standard 38 Pilot Jets with the idle mixture screws in the range of 2.5 to 2.75 turns out depending on conditions.

It ran clean all the way to the limiter.
