Exhaust modification question

So after reading it seems pointless and a pain in the ass to use pod filters since the stock air box flows good. So I am leaving the stock air box and I have a drop in UNI filter. So to try and squeeze a bit more power it seems like a 2 to 1 exhaust is the best option. Now my question is it just the 2 to 1 part of the exhaust that is making the difference or is it the straight through muffler. Reason I ask is I can have a 2 to 1 exhaust fabricated and tig welded very easily but I don't want that obnoxious loud muffler, So I was thinking making a 2 to 1 exhaust using the stock muffler. Would there be any benefit using the stock muffler with a 2 to 1 system. My other option would be use a Hyabusa muffler or 1000cc GSXR muffler with a 2 to 1 system, there single chamber and flow very well and light weight being aluminum. I think those options would give it a little noise but not be crazy loud with how high this bike revs.
