I would say to start by looking for a broken wire or bad connector if you can get it to work by moving the bars side-to-side.

What happens when you hit the starter button?

Have you done anything to the ignition switch?

Cycle is in neutral, correct?

Have you checked the battery voltage and terminals to make sure they are tight?
