My main reason for changing to a bigger bike was the comfort, a heavy bike even a sport bike offers a better ride than a light weight.
Not having to change gear all the time is the other my K1300S will run at 30 mph in 6th and then take you to 170 mph in fact any big I4 will give you flexibility.
The bigger the better must be an I4 type of bike is your choice
